Premier expands it's scale and capability

Premier has entered a significant new phase of growth, strengthening its position as a broader, more diversified food business.

Following the finalisation of its acquisition of RFG Holdings Limited in March 2026, Premier now brings together greater manufacturing scale, a wider portfolio of food brands and deeper capability across categories.

For the food services market, this matters because it strengthens Premier’s ability to serve customers with greater depth, reach and category breadth.

For hospitality, catering and food services buyers, that means access to a supplier with stronger manufacturing capability, a broader product offering and increased scale across Southern Africa.

" Achievements like this demonstrate Premier’s ongoing commitment to maintaining reliable, compliant operations at scale."
Kobus Gertenbach (Premier CEO)

Based on results for the 12 months to 30 September 2025, the combined entity will have revenue of R28.6 billion and employ more than 15,500 people across South Africa, Eswatini and Mozambique. RFG also adds a manufacturing network of 14 facilities across South Africa and Eswatini, alongside established brands including Rhodes, Bull Brand, Magpie, Today, Mama’s Pies and Hinds.
